Black Star Riders Added To Download Festival 2013 Line Up

Black Star Riders, the band that emerged from the touring band of Thin Lizzy have been added to the already stellar line up of Download 2013.

BSR will be taking the slot previously occupied by Buckcherry who have had to withdraw due to reason beyond their control.

Download Festival Promoter Andy Copping had this to say about BSR addition:
"The BSR Machine is going from strength to strength and when the opportunity of a slot became available it was a no brainer who should be offered it …and we are very happy to have Black Star Riders on the bill this year"

Lead singer Ricky Warwick is also hugely enthusiastic to be joining the Donington festivities, and had the following to say:
"Download is one of my favourite festivals and to be added to the main stage bill for this year with such a fantastic line up ….well to say we are ecstatic is an understatement. It’s going to be a great day and thanks to all the support from everyone that’s contributed to our success to date"

Black Star Riders will be appearing on the Main Stage on Saturday 15th June which also has Motorhead, Alice In Chains and Queens of the Stone Age to name but three other bands and is headlined by the mighty Iron Maiden who bring their Maiden England set to the festival.

Weekend and Day Pass tickets are still available for the festival. More info at www.downloadfestial.co.uk.

He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
