Bloodstock Festival 2016 Catch Up - New Headliners, Special Guests & More

It's Bloodstock Open Air Festival announcement catch up time here at Scribes. Since we last reported on happenings at Catton Hall there's been some very significant and interesting additions to the BOA 2016 line up - so here's the details on all the new additions.

First up - Bloodstock 2016 has a new headliner in the shape of rock legends Twisted Sister! Headlining Bloodstock for the 2nd time - it's also going to be a very significant show for Twisted Sister for another reason as it will be their last ever performance in the UK, with the band winding down their live activities after the passing of their drummer AJ Pero earlier this year.

Secondly - special guests! Joining Friday special guests Behemoth (we're still excited over the already announced news of them playing The Satanist in full) are two more excellent bands. Saturday will see French metal juggernauts Gojira step up to special guest status before headliners Mastodon, while Sunday will see thrash favourites Anthrax return to BOA to be the special guests to the as yet unknown Sunday headliner.

Third - more bands! Some great bands have also joined the line up for the Ronnie James Dio main stage for next years' Bloodstock. A double dose of homegrown contributions in the shape of Goth rock & doom legends Paradise Lost and power metallers Dragonforce, plus Greek extreme metal group Rotting Christ have all been added to proceedings. Yesterday they were joined by Black metal veterans Satyricon, who will play their Nemesis Devina album in full to celebrate it's 20th anniversary!

....and breathe! Tickets for Bloodstock 2016 can be purchased right now costing £120 pounds plus fees from the following link from Seetickets - http://bloodstock.seetickets.com/event/bloodstock-2016/catton-park/902838. Dozens more bands are yet to be added to the line up including the final headliners so as soon as there is some more news we will report on it to our readers.

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
