A few weeks back, legendary New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi announced a Summer 2013 UK stadium tour (which you can read the full details of here), a tour that has been praised for starting ticket prices for as low as £12.50. Conspicuous by it's absence on that tour announcement was a London show, and we now have a much better indication of why.
For a couple of weeks, rumours have been circulating on Twitter and various festival rumour websites that Bon Jovi were going to be headlining the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2013, a rumour apparently started as a result of those words coming straight from singer Jon Bon Jovi himself off the record after finishing a press interview. It seems like that may have indeed been the case, as Bon Jovi have now officially been confirmed as the second headliners for the festival alongside the previously announced first headliners The Stone Roses. Bon Jovi will close the festival on the Sunday night with The Stone Roses kicking things off from a headliners perspective on the Friday night.
Tickets for the IoW Festival are on sale now with an adult weekend camping ticket costing £195 plus booking fees. The festival takes place on the 13th - 16th of June 2013, putting it into direct competition with Download 2013 as both festivals are on the same weekend next year. As always, further festival news will be available here at Scribes Of Metal as it becomes available.
