Carcass To Play Exclusive UK Show With Headline Set at Damnation Festival 2013

UK metal is covered on this website from new to old and when it comes to veteran British metallers, they don't come too much more legendary in their scene than Carcass. Heroes of the Grindcore community, Carcass have been confirmed to headline the 2013 Damnation Festival in Leeds this coming November.

Carcass's appearance at Damnation will go hand in hand with the release of the band's first new studio album in seventeen years. Having appeared at the festival back in 2008, Carcass' guitarist Bill Steer has fond memories of that show and is looking forward to this years' event:

“We’re very excited about the prospect of returning to Damnation Festival this year.

Our appearance there in 2008 was a major highlight for us and this time around, people can expect to hear a fairly different Carcass set.

The old favourites will be in there, of course, but we’re also planning to play a couple of the less obvious tracks from our past, as well as songs from the album we’ve just completed. Join us!”

Carcass are the first of around 25 bands to be announced for Damnation Festival 2013. Tickets for the event are currently on sale at last year's price of £32, available from the official festival website at
