Coal Chamber & Stone Sour Announced As The Latest Bands For Download Festival 2013

Keen to build on their existing momentum (which, let's face it is already pretty substantial), Andy Copping & the powers that be at Donington have been busy further beefing up the lineup for next years' Download Festival.

Newly onboard for the 2013 edition of the UK's biggest rock & metal festival are Coal Chamber, who have become something of a cult hit amongst nu metal fans - you either loved them or hated them back in nu metals heyday and now Dez Fafara (nowadays far more commonly known as frontman of Devildriver) has resurrected his old band to make their first appearance at Download.

Also newly announced to the lineup, by no less than Corey Taylor himself on stage in London on Monday night are Stone Sour. Since Slipknot were confirmed as headliners the rumours of Corey & Jim Root doing double duty at Donington have been growing and it seems they have been proven right. Stone Sour will be performing on the main stage at Download on the Sunday of the festival, underneath Rammstein, 30 Seconds To Mars & The Gaslight Anthem.

Stone Sour & Coal Chamber join headliners Slipknot (obviously), Iron Maiden and Rammstein as well as Queens Of The Stone Age, Alice In Chains, 30 Seconds To Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, A Day To Remember, Volbeat, Motorhead and HIM on the current lineup for Donington next Summer. Tickets are on sale at the usual locations. More metal festival news from the likes of Download, Bloodstock and Sonisphere will be available here as and when it is announced.
