Download Festival 2015 Adds Twenty Seven More Bands To Line Up

With only around four weeks left to go until show time its about time we brought our readers the latest news from Download Festival HQ. Andy Copping and his team have pulled yet more rabits out of the hat with another huge line up announcement. This time around a very impressive 27 bands have joined the line up of the UK's biggest rock and metal festival.

Heading up this particular crop of bands are UK post-hardcore veterans Funeral For A Friend, who return to the Donington main stage nine years after they sub headlined for Guns N'Roses. They are joined by fellow veterans 36 Crazyfists, who come armed with their new album Time and Trauma and will take a main stage slot alongside FFAF.

The last few headline spots have also been filled. Pop punk favourites Yellowcard will finally make their Download debuts as they headline the Pepsi Max Tent on the Sunday night, while the Red Bull stage will be headlined by thrash veterans Suicidal Tendencies. For the extreme metal fans amongst the Download goers, the addition of British metal icons Carcass has been another hugely popular choice. Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
