Dragonforce Announce Extensive UK & Ireland Tour For Autumn 2012

The latest piece of metal tour news to hit the in-tray at Scribes castle will pleasing to those who like their metal fast and solo filled; Arguably Britain's most well known power metal band, Dragonforce have announced their live return by revealing their plans for an extensive UK & Irish tour which comes as part of their plans to embark on an eighteen month world tour. The tour will be the first full tour for Dragonforce with their new vocalist Marc Hudson, who joined Dragonforce just over a year ago, replacing longtime singer ZP Theart who left the band due to "creative differences".

Dragonforce's new tour will see them begin in the Irish capital Dublin on September the 25th and play eleven shows in total, taking in both halves of Ireland, Scotland and the length of England before finishing up on the south coast at Portsmouth's Pyramids venue on October 7th.

Joining Dragonforce for this tour is an impressive cast of supporting bands; Scotland's own pirate metal band Alestorm are along for the ride, as are London based UK metal favourites The Defiled, with Cavorts rounding off the bill. The full tour information is below:

Dragonforce will be touring in support of their brand new album, entitled "The Power Within". The Power Within will be released on the fifteenth of April (2012) through the bands own label Electric Generation Recordings. They have signed distribution deals with many labels in various countries, including with Essential Music in the UK and former label Roadrunner Records in the US. The new album sees Pythia singer Emily Ovenden continuing the Pythia / Dragonforce relationship by providing backing vocals on the album. Pythia recently supported Dragonforce at a special one off show at London's 100 Club venue.
