Dragonforce Announce New Album "Maximum Overload" and huge "This Time It's Personal" UK Tour

The band that broke power metal to the mainstream in the UK have announced their return! Dragonforce are back and have confirmed details of their upcoming album, which is to be titled Maximum Overload. For the first time ever Dragonforce have enlisted an outside producer, in the shape of the well respected Jens Bogren, and travelled to Sweden to work with Jens on Maximum Overload, which the band tell us is now almost finished. Maximum Overload also features a notable guest in the form of Trivium main man Matt Heafy, who has contributed to a couple of the tracks on the album.

Dragonforce's new album will land on the shelves on the 18th of August 2014 and the band are delighted to announce a new relationship with Ear Music, who will be releasing the album. After the album is released Dragonforce will embark on an enormous UK tour in the Autumn of 2014 entitled the "This Time It's Personal" tour, which will take in smaller venues of the style the band have not played in for several years. Guitarist Hernan Li explains the thinking behind the tour:

“We did a tour like this in between the Sonic Firestorm and Inhuman Rampage albums and have wanted to repeat it ever since but couldn’t because of touring commitments elsewhere in the world. This time we were determined to make it happen so we’re going to some cities we haven’t visited for years and some we’ve never visited at all. One of the venues is a boat and one is a deconsecrated church! It will be great to see the fans up close and personal again, it’s going to be very hot, very sweaty and great fun!”

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
