Funeral For A Friend Announce Return With New Single / Album / Music Video / Huge 2013 UK Tour

Continuing our overall theme of trying to back British rock & metal bands wherever possible, here's a substantial piece of British metal news to get things started today; Welsh alternative metal band Funeral For A Friend are gearing up for one of the biggest years in the band's decade plus history to date, with many pieces of news emerging from camp FFAF all at once.

January 2013 sees the release of Funeral For A Friend's brand new album Conduit, which will hit the shelves on the 28th of January 2013. Conduit will be their first album with new drummer Pat Lundy, formerly of fellow British metallers Rise To Remain. The release of Conduit will also see the release of a new single, The Distance, two weeks later on the 11th of February. To go with the single release of The Distance, Funeral For A Friend have released a brand new music video which you can watch at the bottom of this post.

So what do most bands do when you've got a new album out? That's right, they go on tour. Funeral For A Friend are taking that to the next level by embarking on a twenty three date tour across the whole of the UK and Ireland in support of Conduit. The tour will begin this coming Saturday at Bucks University SU in High Wycombe and run until Tuesday the 19th of February with a show in Birmingham. Then there's a gap before FFAF pick things up again at the start of March, and again in the middle of April. What this means is that the first third of 2013 is going to be very busy in the world of Funeral For A Friend. On board for the majority of the tour are Red Bull Bedroom Jam champs I Divide, along with US bands Such Gold and Major League. Full tour dates listed below:

Lover of most things with a foundation of rock or metal. Totally bypassed the grunge movement and was introduced to metal by Metallica and the nu-metal revolution of the early 21st century. Extremely keen photographer (music and otherwise).
