"Huge Rock Stars" FOZZY confirmed for tenth anniversary of the Download Festival

Some triumphant rock news for our readers on this Wednesday morning; As part of the most recent Download Festival announcement for the tenth anniversary edition of the festival it was announced that in a potentially extremely popular decision that Fozzy had been added to the lineup. The booking marks Fozzy's first return to Donington Park since their appearance in the-then tented Snickers second stage back in 2005, an appearance that really pushed the band into the public eye to many people for the first time.

Fozzy, comprised of singer Chris "Y2J" Jericho (also of WWE & Dancing With The Stars fame, not to mention a best selling author), "The Duke Of Metal" Rich Ward, Frank Fontsere, Paul Di Leo and Billy Grey have long treated the UK as their second home, touring their most recent album, the very successful Chasing The Grail four times over the last couple of years, taking in almost every major UK city and town along the way. Fozzy will be looking to build on all their successful tours, as well as a spot on the Jagermeister stage at Sonisphere Knebworth last year with their most high profile appearance to date as they play the second stage at Download, which has grown considerably in size since their previous appearance eight years ago (not to mention it's now outside).

Fozzy are currently working on their follow up to Chasing The Grail and hope to release their new album in time for the festival season. The as yet untitled album will be the band's first album for their new record label Century Media Records.
