Iron Maiden Have Returned At The "Speed Of Light" - New Music Video and Single

Scribes Of Metal love Iron Maiden. This won't come as a shock to many of our readers because an awful lot of people love Iron Maiden, but here at Scribes we're full on disciples of the mighty Bruce, Steve and co (not to mention Eddie of course!).
So we're thrilled to be able to bring our readers the news that the first new Iron Maiden song in five years, Speed Of Light, is now available to listen to. It's also got a brilliant music video to accompany it, which we think fans of the band will spend hours pouring over trying to count all the references, not only to Maiden's past but to a lot of classic video games as well!
Enough fanboying from us, please watch the Speed Of Light video right now:
Speed Of Light is the first new song from Iron Maiden's forthcoming album The Book Of Souls, set to be released through Parlophone Records in the UK and BMG in the US on the 4th of September. The record is Maiden's sixteenth studio album and first since frontman Bruce Dickinson's successful recovery from cancer.
More news on The Book Of Souls and on Iron Maiden in general will be available here at Scribes as soon as we have it! In the mean time head over to to pre-order The Book Of Souls, which will surely be another number one for one of the UK's finest ever bands.

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
