For the power metal fans amongst our readers ScribesOfMetal.com can announce a huge piece of power metal news. US masters of the genre Kamelot have announced their return to the live UK stage in spectacular fashion. The band plan to play a show at London's Kentish Town Forum on the 7th of November 2012. This is a very ambitious move from Kamelot, with The Forum over double the size of the usual venues they have played on their trips to London and the UK over the last few years.
Kamelot are currently writing music for their as yet untitled new album which will be the follow up to 2010's Poetry And The Poisoned, the last album to feature longtime vocalist Roy Khan before his departure. Rhapsody Of Fire vocalist Fabio Lione has been the band's touring singer throughout 2011 and it seems this arrangement will continue into 2012 while the band continue to search for a full time replacement for Khan. No word is currently available as to whether Fabio Lione will sing on the new Kamelot album.
Tickets for the show are available through Seetickets and Mean Fiddler. More news on any further dates as it becomes available.
