Kamelot & Orange Goblin Head First Batch Of Bands For Hammerfest 7

As the major festivals of 2014 continue to tick through, we're now starting to get the first bits of information for next year's festivals and Hammerfest have come through with an impressive start to their 2015 line-up.

Top of the initial group of bands for Hammerfest 7 are US power metal favourites Kamelot, in their first ever major UK festival appearance. Currently touring their most recent album Silverthorn with new(ish) vocalist Tommy Karevik, this will be a rare opportunity to catch Kamelot on UK soil. Joining them will be homegrown favourites Orange Goblin. Orange Goblin's profile has increased substantially in the last twelve months or so and Hammerfest will be another opportunity to catch one of the British underground's previously best kept secrets - metal with grooves like Orange Goblin was never going to stay underground forever!

Aside from Kamelot and Orange Goblin there is a real assortment of bands and styles. Scribes' friends and Orange Goblin's fellow stoner / doom metal outfit Hang The Bastard will be making their Hammerfest début, and there are Hammerfest returns for the likes of RSJ and Evil Scarecrow. They will be alongside black metallers Winterfylleth, folk / power metal purveyors Elvenking, The King Is Blind, Darkane, Angel Witch, Viza and Mass Hysteria. Then there's Norwegian doom metal outfit Sahg and a double dose of viking metal in the shape of Einherjer and Skálmöld.

Anyone who wants tickets for Hammerfest should head over to the official website http://www.hammerfest.co.uk/. As the poster says there's only limited rooms available with Hammerfest being very popular with repeat visitors - so get your rooms quickly. Further line up announcements will be posted here as soon as we have any more news!
