Metallica To Play The Black Album In Its Entirety At Sonisphere Spain

Some metal festival news to bring readers on a Sunday morning: After the fantastic Download Festival 2012 announcements so far everyone wants to know what Sonisphere have got up their sleeve. Well some Sonisphere news has been revealed, but unfortunately (from a UK perspective) not for Knebworth. However, if you live in Spain, it is fantastic news. The majority of the line up for Sonisphere Spain in Madrid has been announced and it is quite frankly amazing. Headlining the event will be Metallica, who are going to play The Black Album in it's entirety as they are doing at various other European festivals in the Summer of 2012.

The sub-headliners playing just under Metallica will be their big four friends in Slayer and grunge superstars Soundgarden. The rest of the line up is incredibly varied and there should be something for everyone with the likes of Children Of Bodom, Gojira, Mastodon, Kyuss Lives!, Clutch, Sister, Vita Imana and Ghost on the show. The UK is also represented on the line up by Stoner doom metal legends Orange Goblin and the world's first ragga metal band Skindred. More bands are due to be added in the future. Sonisphere Spain takes place at the Getafe Open Air venue in Madrid on 26th of May 2012. Tickets for this event go on sale January 31st.
