Red Bull Studios Live At Download Final Voting Stage To Commence

The final voting stages of Red Bull Studios annual Download Festival competition have begun.  15 lucky finalists have been chosen to battle for the much sort after 8 slots for a chance to appear on this years Download Festival bill. 

The contest began with unsigned bands nationwide entering with 100 chosen by the voting public to make it to the panel of judges. This years panel consisted of BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens, Kerrang! Radio's Katie P, Red Bull Records label manager Angie Somerside and Don Broco who wittled the 100 finalists down to just 15. From the final 15 bands, 6 will make the cut via public votes with 2 extra bands being selected as wildcards by the judges.
