As we approach the two month countdown to 2014's Download Festival, the organisers have added another nine acts to the line up!
Most significantly in this announcement is the addition of Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who will be making his first Download appearance of any kind with his solo band as part of the very classic rock heavy main stage line up on the Sunday afternoon. Alongside Sambora will be rising stars of the UK hardcore scene Baby Godzilla, who won many new fans when they appeared on the 2014 Kerrang Tour with Limp Bizkit and fellow Download performers Crossfaith.
UK post-hardcore group Cytota have also joined the line up, alongside Turbowolf who will be displaying their varied sound to the vast crowds of Donington. If you want to check out something different, Drenge, who describe themselves as "post-grunge" may well be worth a look, or if you enjoy your progressive / technical metal then Nothing More may be a band to put into your viewing schedule. Londoners Goldray have also signed on to make their Download Festival debut as have hardcore act Dead City Streets.
Last but certainly not least, retro rock band The Temperance Movement, who were an internet sensation until last year when their debut album landed in the upper echelons of the UK album chart will be showing some of the other bands and the assembled masses how it's done when it comes to classic rock with a modern twist.
