Sacred Mother Tongue Announce A Light Will Shine Single, Shows With Halestorm Next Week

In keeping with the theme of British metal news so far this week, here is an update from another of our homegrown rising stars.

Sacred Mother Tongue are very pleased to announce the release of a brand new single, "A Light Will Shine", which will be coming out on April 7th 2013. The band's second full length album, "Out Of The Darkness" will be released one week later on the 15th of April through EMI. SMT have released a video for A Light Will Shine ahead of the singles release, which sees one member of the band literally buried alive by the rest of the band! Not something that happens in your average music video. The video can be watched at the bottom of this news post.

Sacred Mother Tongue will also be on the road from next week across the UK, supporting US grammy winning hard rock band Halestorm, along with In This Moment. That set of shows will also see SMT appear at the fifth annual Hammerfest Festival in North Wales, which this year is headlined by the legendary Killing Joke. Full tour information follows below:

Sacred Mother Tongue also have the honour of opening the main stage at Donington Park this coming June on the last day of the 2013 Download Festival, where Rammstein will close the festival. SMT will be appearing alongside everyone's favourite German pyromaniacs, 30 Seconds To Mars, Stone Sour, Cancer Bats and many more.

We will keep everyone posted on further news from SMT as the release of Out Of The Darkness gets closer and closer.

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
