British tech metal legends Sikth had one of THE comebacks of 2014. With shows at Download (where they just about levelled the Red Bull tent), Tech Fest and an insane headline tour towards the end of the year, the reviews said that they were back better than ever.
Now, after a couple of months to recoup, there's a glut of Sikth news for 2015, and it's all brilliant. Sikth are going to get back in the studio and record some new music, in the form of an E.P, for the first time since their 2006 album Death Of A Dead Day. A November 2015 release date is currently being aimed for.
Guitar virtuoso Dan Weller has said that he now feels the time is right for the next musical chapter in Sikth:
"We've always maintained that more music would emerge one day and for the first time in years it feels like now is the time. We had an amazing time travelling round the World last year. Having a chance to reconnect with our fans was very special for us".
Dan's fellow Sikth member Mikee Goodman also had this to say (we think he's quite excited):
"We did not realise our music had spread so far! I believe we have amongst the most passionate and energetic fans in the World. I am honoured to play to them. But what we have been asked most is about new music. My desire to make new SikTh music is as strong as it's ever been. I can't wait to get started!"
Sikth are also going to hit the road again at the end of 2015 for five huge shows in England and Scotland. Catch Sikth at the following places:
5th December - Glasgow - Classic Grand
6th December - Manchester - Academy 2
10th December - Bristol - Marble Factory
11th December - Birmingham - Academy 2
12th December - London - Forum
