A Storm Of Light To Release New Album Through Southern Lord Record Label

Southern Lord are one of our favourite record labels here at ScribesOfMetal. Boasting a diverse lineup, including one of our favourite bands in the mighty Pelican, they have now announced another impressive addition to their roster.

One of the most impressive bands in the world of post metal and drone based metal in recent years, Southern Lord are delighted to welcome A Storm Of Light into their musical family. This new album will be the follow up to their 2011 release "As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade", which was met with acclaim from fans and critics alike.
The as yet untitled album has been completed and is currently undergoing mastering for a release later in 2013. Such details as a track listing or a firm release date are not yet available, so continue to watch this space for that. A Storm Of Light are promising an album that is "faster, much darker and noisier" and that "on this record, we have finally found ourselves". Take that as you will, but it's certainly making us more intreigued for this release!
Keep your eyes peeled on ScribesOfMetal.com for any further updates about this forthcoming new album from A Storm Of Light. In the meantime, if you are not familiar with them, or you are but want a listen anyway, please check out one of the bands previous offerings below:

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
