Sylosis Announce Details Of New Album - Dormant Heart To Be Released Early Next Year

One of Scribes Of Metal's favourite bands has recently confirmed their plans to return with a brand new album, and we can't wait! Reading modern thrash four piece Sylosis have confirmed their next album will be available in the very early stages of 2015. The record, entitled Dormant Heart, is going to be released once again through Nuclear Blast Records, whom Sylosis have been signed to ever since their début full length album Conclusion Of An Age six years ago. Dormant Heart will be available on the 12th of January 2015

Dormant Heart will also mark the first Sylosis album with new drummer Ali Richardson. Richardson, also the man behind the kit for Scottish metallers Bleed From Within, was recently announced as the replacement for longtime Sylosis drummer Rob Callard. Sylosis frontman Josh Middleton has handled production duties on Dormant Heart with engineering assistance from Scott Atkins and mastering has been done by Acle Kahney from TesseracT.
So, what's Dormant Heart like? Over to Josh Middleton:
“It's the most pissed-off, aggressive and intense album we've done, yet it still retains the epic, progressive and melodic side we're also known for. It's a very gloomy and atmospheric album. We've been through a lot as a band and individuals and we've made our darkest album to date. The title refers to people going through life on autopilot and being one of the herd. How a lot of people simply accept the way things are just because it's 'tradition' as opposed to taking a good look at the world around you and thinking for yourself. Sometimes there are catalysts that happen and change our perspective or consciousness…”
This is already an album in 2015 that we cannot wait for. Let the countdown commence. Further Sylosis news will be reported in due course.
