Ugly Kid Joe Announce UK Shows with Alice Cooper

After over 10 years "break", Ugly Kid Joe are back in a big way.  Following a meteoric return at the London Underworld and then standing alongside giants at Download, the band are back, louder than ever & booked to be on tour with Alice Cooper in October.

As if that wasn't joyous enough news to make you pump your fist in the air, they have also announced 3 dates co-headlining with Duff Mckagan's Loaded.

UKJ have always 'done it their way', and have a history of releasing EP's over full albums (though they have their share of them too!). Their return saw the release of the EP "Stairway to Hell", it's clear that even though they retain the 'in yer face' attitude of their early work, they have a more finely honed songwriting craft to boast. This could be in part due to the influences whilst the Joe was in haitus, Dave Fortman for one has been busily filling his time producing albums for bands such as Evanescence, Slipknot and Mudvayne.  Drummer Shannon Larkin has been smacking some Godsmack skins and frontman Whitfield Crane has kept his vocal chords in tune with varying projects over the years.  Larkin and Whitfield were in a band together in 2006 called 'Another Animal', who didn't do that well despite joining label mates Alter Bridge on tour.

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
