Witchcraft Return After Five Year Absence, Sign With Nuclear Blast Records

Those of you amongst our readership with a persuasion towards the doomier shades of metal may find this next piece of metal news most pleasing; Swedish doom metal collective Witchcraft have decided to make a comeback after a five year hiatus, and they've signed on with Nuclear Blast to join Nuclear Blast's already impressive collection of artists.

Witchcraft, who's last album The Alchemist was released back in 2007 are currently hard at work on a brand new album in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren behind the mixing desk (Jens has worked with a number of bands such as Opeth, Katatonia and Amon Amarth just to name a handful) and the album is being recorded at the The Cure inspired Fascination Street studios in Orebo. The album's working title is currently "Legend", though that is subject to change.

Witchcraft have also announced some changes to their previous lineup and the new line up is as follows:

Simon Solomon – guitars
Tom Jondelius – guitars
Oscar Johansson – drums
Magnus Pelander - vocals (only, no longer playing guitar)

Nik works in music PR, he wanted to be famous but genetics determined a managerial route instead. He put his energy into working out how to design stuff, build web stuff and string a decent series of words together. He is a big fan of original and unique sounding bands, loving a good melody and anthem - although he has been known to listen to 90s glam rock in private.
