If you like Wrestling, odds are fairly good you may also like rock music, or metal music, or both. If all or most of the previous statements apply to you, chances are you are about to get VERY excited.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that the WWE would be making a historic debut at the 2016 Download Festival by sending their well loved developmental brand, NXT, to wrestle on the hallowed Donington grounds. Exact details are yet to be confirmed but we know the likes of the NXT champion Finn Balor will be appearing at all three "band days" of Download 2016. A special wrestling section of the arena will be created (again, exact details to be confirmed) where the NXT competitors will take to the ring, while the likes of Bury Tomorrow, Alien Ant Farm and Monster Truck could be on stage performing just a couple of hundred feet away.
This is just the latest in a series of coups for the Download Festival organisers, with the festival already having exclusive appearances from Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden as headliners, topping a bill with dozens of quality bands and with more yet to come.
